This office oversees all facets of the NMSO, including the orchestra, Board relations, community outreach and staff direction.

This department is responsible for raising the almost $1.5 million annual fund dollars each year that is used to pay operating expenses and salaries of the NMSO. It also supports the NMSO Endowment Campaign. Activities include soliciting donations and concert sponsorships, organizing raffle ticket sales, oversight of the Vintage Albuquerque Wine and Fine Art Auction and other fundraising events throughout the year.
EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
Jeffrey Eckert, Director
The education department, working closely with the fine arts department of the Albuquerque Public Schools, coordinates all educational programming for the orchestra. Each year educational performances by the NMSO reach thousands of young people in Albuquerque and throughout the state. Programs are geared toward a wide range of audiences from elementary age students through adults.
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

This department is responsible for $2.2 million in ticket sales. This is accomplished through paid advertising, soliciting business, guest artist and concert stories in newspapers, TV, radio and magazines, community outreach with concert information and general orchestra/concert visibility.
The Ticket Office provides single ticket sales, maintains and issues season tickets, issues concert audits and ticket sales reports and provides customer service.

This department manages all NMSO accounting functions including balance sheets, cash flow projections and bank accounts, plus oversees the issuance of all orchestra and staff payrolls. It also provides administrative duties such as developing and maintaining the internal computer network, maintaining an administrative policy manual, tracking personnel vacations and other staff personnel functions.

This department is responsible for orchestra personnel management, scheduling performance dates and setting the performance calendar, coordinating guest artist itineraries, stage set-up, concert tours, arranging for concert venues - all the pieces that go into the concert you see and hear on stage.
CHORAL DEPARTMENT

The Chorus is made up of 90-100 talented adult volunteers who rehearse weekly and perform in numerous concerts with the orchestra every season. New chorus members are selected from auditions held in August.
