What You Can Do For Your Orchestra

If you've been to an NMSO concert lately, you've already contributed to the orchestra by buying a ticket. However, ticket sales make up less than half the NMSO total income each year. Generous individuals, corporations and foundations in Albuquerque and around the state contribute the remaining income through donations to the Annual Fund and to the NMSO special fundraising and Guild-sponsored events. Government sources make up only 4% of our income.

The Annual Fund is the backbone of contributed income each year. Because the NMSO is a nonprofit arts organization, it will always depend on the Annual Fund not only to survive, but to thrive.

A donation to the Annual Fund supports concerts, educational enrichment programs, free concerts on Civic Plaza and every other concert you love.

This year's Annual Fund goal is $1,069,440. It is a large sum, but we have raised that and more for the previous several years. All it takes is for you to help in any way you can. Every donation, no matter the amount, is needed and gratefully accepted. At least 2,000 donors are needed to make this year's Annual Fund drive a success.

Please take a moment today to help us in our endeavor. Go to the donor pledge page to print out a form that you may mail in with your donation or donate online at the Symphony Store. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact NMSO Development Director Joan Allen at 881-9590.

There are other ways to help your symphony as well. Read about them on the Endowment Page and on the Speigel Page.
